Take
a piece of fruit, flower, sprig, clump of dirt
and follow the life cycle. Life is an ever changing,
shifting palette of creativity.
Putting life in black and white adding a
bit of tonality with Photoshop filters, equalising
all by size and density so that all that
is left
is the stark dark image - bare in its honesty.
I have lain in the dirt, under bushes and
in trees all my life trying to get closer to
this cycle of life - from birth through life
to death which in organic terms means mulch,
compost
fertilising future generations.
Photography is a wondrous medium to capture
reality, hyper-reality even. My vision is
generally dark and brooding a bit like
the grubs in generous earth but for all
that beauty in it's life cycle!
